Corrugated box & carton box package

Corrugated boxes ( same as carton box ) are currently the most common protective equipment for daily logistics and transportation. Corrugated boxes are used in many places in the entire e-commerce field. Some people think that choosing a corrugated box is very simple, while others find it difficult to reach the sky. There is no clue at all. Knowing where to buy cartons from, at the same time, the complicated quotations for cartons, and the various production processes make a small carton complicated.

Types of corrugated boxes

1. Slotted carton
Slotted carton is the most basic type of carton in transport packaging, and it is also the most widely used carton. They are cartons composed of one or several pieces of processed corrugated cardboard, which are combined by stitching or gluing. Its bottom and upper flaps (upper and lower flaps) form the bottom and lid. This type of carton can be folded and laid flat during transportation and storage, and has the advantages of small size, convenient use, sealed and dustproof, and clean inside and outside.

2. The box type carton
The box-type carton is composed of one or several pieces of corrugated cardboard. The characteristics of this type of carton are that it is convenient to pack and seal, and the goods are not easy to fall off after being loaded. The overall strength of the carton is higher than that of the slotted carton. The disadvantage is that the box is large enough to form, and it is inconvenient to transport and store.

3. Folding carton
Folding carton, also known as special-shaped carton, usually consists of a piece of corrugated cardboard, which is folded to form the low, side, and cover of the carton without stapling and gluing.

The production and technology of corrugated box

1. Stitching or gluing strip: also known as lap joint, usually called stick strip. It is an extra part on one side of the box for the purpose of forming the corrugated box. The stitching or gluing strip is the same height as the corrugated box, and the length is generally about 30-40mm.
2. Shake cover: also called E cover, divided into outer shake cover and inner shake cover. Generally, the long side flap is placed on the outside as the outer flap, and it is closed when folded; the wide side flap is placed inside as the inner flap, and it is not closed after folding. Corrugated boxes can be divided into several types according to the different lengths of the inner and outer flaps.
3. Shipping Mark: The pattern and text printed on the corrugated box to describe the product name, quantity and size of the corrugated box. The content of the shipping mark is determined by the customer. According to the printing position, it can be divided into front mark and side mark. The front mark is printed in the long direction of the box, and the side mark is printed in the width direction of the box; if the content printed on both sides of the long direction of the box is different , In order to distinguish, the shipping mark is divided into side mark and positive mark; the side mark is the long direction connected to the stitching strip, and the other side is the positive mark.
4. Slotting: the opening between the shake covers, the height is the same as the height of the shake cover.
5. Handle: generally, on the side of the corrugated box, the shape is often a rectangle with two rounds, the upper part is straight and the beer is half worn, and the rest is fully worn; the size and position of the handle should be determined according to the customer’s requirements, and generally the beer cannot affect the pattern.
6. High and low line: The high and low line of the corrugated box means that the pressure lines of the inner and outer flaps of the corrugated box are not on the same straight line; the inner flap pressure line is about the thickness of a piece of corrugated paper lower than the outer flap pressure line.
7. Post-press processing: The production process that enables the printed product to obtain the required shape and performance.
8. Die-cutting: form a die with steel blades (or carve a die with a steel plate) and frame. The process of rolling paper sheets into a certain shape on a die-cutting machine.
9. Indentation: Using steel wire, through embossing, press marks on the paper or leave groove marks for bending. Usually done by a die-cutting machine.
10. Combination methods: Commonly used bonding methods include glue, selflock, tape, staple and so on.
11. Stitching: The stitching strip is combined with the wide surface with box nails. Box nails are plated low carbon alloy steel flat wires, which can be divided into single nails and double nails according to the number and spacing of nails, and horizontal nails, vertical nails and diagonal nails according to the angle between the nails and the broken line diagonal nails are most commonly used.
12. Adhesion: The stitching or gluing strip and the wide surface are bonded with adhesive. The binder is starch or other equivalent binders, and sodium silicate cannot be used.
13. Proofing: According to the needs of customers, first make a small amount and pack it out.
14. Printing plate: The plate that needs to be printed is usually divided into rubber plate and resin plate.
15. Knife version: Refers to some products that need to be made into special shapes, such as various special-shaped boxes, which need to be die-cut out of special shapes, and need to be made into a knife version, and then die-cutting machine can die cut out the shape you need. The knife version is generally steel bars, inlaid with steel bars on a piece of wood to make the shape you need.
