How to design a candy box?

For candy packaging design, the accurate transmission of information needs to be reflected in the process of text typesetting and color matching.

First of all, you need to determine the product positioning of this candy, so as to choose suitable packaging materials and printing processes. Candy boxes can generally be made of carton, plastic, tinplate, etc.

Secondly, determine the shape of the box, regular or special. The shape of the box itself can be creative. Candy boxes can be considered folding cartons, and the design can have a visual flow according to the process of unpacking.

Materials for making candy boxes

1. Single-powder paper: Single-powder paper is also called single-sided coated paper

• The paper is smooth on one side and matte on the other side, only the glossy side can be printed;
• Printing of various colors can be realized, and there is no limit to the color;
• The commonly used surface treatment processes after printing are: glue, UV, hot stamping, and embossing.

2. Double-coated paper: Double-coated paper refers to double-sided coated paper.

Double-sided coated paper is a kind of coated paper, which is coated on both sides, and has good smoothness on both sides. This material is relatively high-end.

• The paper is smooth on both sides and can be used for double-sided printing, while the single-coated paper has only one smooth side. And the single copper is a little yellowish, and the luster is not as obvious as the double copper.
• The biggest difference from single copper paper is that it can be printed on both sides.

3. Pit paper: Pit paper is a piece of smooth kraft paper and wavy paper (collectively referred to as paper core) mounted together, and is one of the important materials for paper packaging.

• Compared with ordinary paper, it is more straight and has stronger bearing capacity.
• Commonly used are single pit, double pit, and three pits.
• Various colors can be printed, but the effect is not as good as single copper paper.

4. Special paper: Special paper is paper with special purpose and relatively small output. There are many kinds of special paper, which is a general term for all kinds of special-purpose paper or art paper.

• There are many kinds of special paper, here are only the ones we use in our packaging materials: embossed paper, patterned paper, pearl pattern paper, metal pattern paper, gold paper, etc.
• These papers have been specially treated to improve the quality of the packaging.
• Embossing can not be printed, only surface hot stamping, gold paper, etc. can be printed in 4 colors.
